AI traffic tracking for hotels: see which assistant sends you guests
Your next guest may come from ChatGPT and your analytics will file the visit under direct traffic. reporte.ai gives every AI assistant its own column, measured on your own website.
AI sessions measured across the sites we track, last 30 days.
Quick answer
AI traffic tracking identifies the visits that arrive at your website from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Copilot, and separates them from search and social traffic. reporte.ai measures this with its own analytics pixel installed on your site, so every AI visit is a real session it recorded itself, not an estimate modeled from someone else's panel.
How it works in reporte.ai
Most AI visibility tools ask you to connect a third party analytics account and then interpret its data. reporte.ai does not integrate an analytics platform because it is one. The pixel runs on your website and your booking engine, classifies each incoming session by referrer and campaign source against 27 known AI assistants, and shows you the count, the share and the trend.
The volume is real and measurable today. In the hotel and travel websites we measure, ChatGPT is by far the assistant that sends the most visits, with the rest still small and growing. Small numbers per site is exactly why they need to be measured and not guessed.
Every AI session is shown next to its share of total visits, because the same count of AI visits means something different on a small site than on a large one. You also see which landing pages receive that traffic, which tells you which of your pages the assistants are actually reading and citing.
Because the pixel is first party and runs in anonymous mode, there is no cookie banner blocking the measurement. A consent wall that hides the pixel can cost most of your data before you ever see it.
Who it is for
Independent hotels that want to know if ChatGPT is already sending them guests. Campings and holiday parks whose customers plan trips with AI assistants. Small hotel groups that need one panel with the AI share of every property side by side.
FAQ
By the session referrer and the campaign source, checked against a list of 27 AI assistants that includes ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude. Both signals are deduplicated so one visit never counts twice.
Measured. Each AI visit in your panel is a session our own pixel recorded on your website. Nothing is extrapolated from external panels or third party data.
Still a small share for most properties, and growing, with ChatGPT clearly in front in the sites we measure. What matters is that this traffic behaves differently, which is what the AI visitor journey feature shows.
Yes. The pixel runs in anonymous mode without cookies, so it loads on every visit and does not need a consent banner to measure.
Yes. The pixel is one script that runs alongside GA4 or any other tool without conflict. It adds the AI channel your current setup does not have, it does not replace anything.
