Prompt tracking for hotels: know when AI names you

Every day, travelers ask AI assistants where to stay in your destination. Prompt tracking tells you whether the answer names your hotel or hands the guest to a competitor.

Quick answer

Prompt tracking measures whether AI assistants name your hotel when someone asks the questions your guests actually ask, such as "best family hotel near the beach in your area". It records your mention rate, your position in the answer, the sentiment of what the model says about you, and which competitors get cited in your place.

How it works in reporte.ai

You define the prompts, or let the tool discover them for you from your real Search Console queries. The discovery engine takes your top queries without your brand, groups them into conversational questions with a query fan out technique, and only measures the ones worth paying for.

Each prompt is then asked across five real AI surfaces: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Mode. These are the products travelers actually use, measured with live web access rather than against training data alone. For each prompt and surface you get the answer, whether you are named, in what position, the sentiment, the rivals mentioned and the sources it consulted.

That last part becomes a citation analysis map. Sources the model consults are your link building targets. Brands the model merely mentions are who you compete with for content. Two different lists, two different actions, and the map only draws what was actually measured.

The panel keeps the full history, so your mention rate and share of voice become a series you can watch week by week. Unmeasured is always shown as different from not mentioned, because not asking is not the same as not appearing.

And because reporte.ai is also your web analytics, the loop closes. Next to each prompt you see the Google demand for that question and the sessions that actually landed on your page, including the ones that came from AI. A mention tracker stops at the mention. Here you follow it to the visit.

Who it is for

Independent hotels competing with OTAs in AI answers. Campings that want to know if assistants recommend them for their region. Small groups tracking mention rate across several properties from one panel.
